Technology is an ever-evolving part of life these days, and dental technologies are no exception. The advancements are designed to give us the most accurate diagnosis so we can prepare the most conservative, gentle treatment plan. We know how it important it is for us to remain up to date on the advanced dental technologies available for the benefit of our patients.
Cone Beam CT Scanning
Dr. Flesher is proud to offer cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) to detect potential issues with patients’ teeth, gums, and jaw bones. This technology gives us detailed, 3D models of a patient’s face, which allows our team to get a better visual of infections, cracked or damaged teeth, and bone abnormalities.
The CBCT technology lets us provide our patients with complex restorative and cosmetic dental treatments in our office instead of referring them out to specialists. And the care we provide is more efficient and effective than ever before.
Digital X-rays have many benefits over standard X-rays. Most importantly they emit 90% less radiation, which means they are safe for just about everybody. They are also available very quickly, meaning faster exams.
DIAGNOdent® is a minimally invasive tool that aids in the detection of caries. This will give you an even better and more accurate evaluation, helping us to protect and preserve your natural teeth.
The intraoral camera gives you a firsthand look at the inside of your mouth in a clear and detailed resolution. You’ll be able to see what Dr. Flesher is seeing, giving you a better understanding of the diagnosis given.
Isolite® is a comfortable mouthpiece that simultaneously illuminates the inside of your mouth while vacuuming fluid and debris. Isolite creates an easier space for Dr. Flesher to work in, allowing him more focus on the details. The result is accurate and comfortable treatment.

Relaxing Sedation Options
Sometimes a relaxing atmosphere and modern amenities aren’t enough to quell dental anxieties. We understand this, so we offer two industry standard sedation options that calm your fears safely and effectively.
Nitrous oxide, commonly referred to as “laughing gas,” is inhaled through a comfortable breathing apparatus before treatment. It will take effect immediately, giving you a strong sense of calmness and well being. You will remain conscious during treatment and will be able to answer any questions, and once removed you will feel back to normal in minutes, allowing you to go on with your day.
Oral Conscious Sedation
Oral conscious sedation is a stronger means of sedation that is ideal for those with more extreme dental anxieties. Dr. Flesher will prescribe a pill for you to take an hour before your appointment. This pill will make you feel extremely relaxed and calm, while remaining conscious for questions. It will take an hour or two for the effects to wear off so you will need to arrange transportation home.
